Introduction

Under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we are required to provide qualified individuals with disabilities equal access to programs, services, or activities unless doing so would fundamentally alter the nature of these programs, services, or activities, or would impose undue burden.

One way to help meet these requirements is to ensure that websites have accessible features for people with disabilities.

Website Accessibility Statement

First Western recognizes the importance of ensuring that all web content is accessible to people with disabilities. Using the guidelines for accessibility of state and local government websites provided by the ADA, we will update all of our First Western websites and media content to conform with the outlined ADA practices by June 2018. The policy will be reviewed annually to ensure conformance with the established timeline and ensure that we are adhering to the latest rules and regulations from the ADA.

This policy governs all website developers and associates responsible for updating content on the website and is meant to establish policies to ensure compliance with Title II of ADA.

Goals

  1. Proactively update website content to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities
  2. Ensure that future websites are designed to conform with ADA standards
