Boulder, CO – November 23, 2016 – First Western Trust is pleased to announce Eric Long as President of its Boulder office. Eric is responsible for building and strengthening new and existing client relationships in commercial and consumer lending, including all aspects of private banking. He will foster opportunities in commercial banking, wealth planning, investment management and trusts. He will work closely with Matt Gorr who transitions to Chairman of the Boulder office.
Eric brings 25+ years of banking experience to his position at First Western Trust. Eric received his BA in Economics from Davidson College along with his MA in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina. He has worked in a variety of areas of banking, including commercial lending, credit, business development, and team leadership. Prior to joining the Boulder team, Eric worked for Silicon Valley Bank for 5 years as Managing Director focused on emerging growth companies. Eric has also worked with BBVA Compass, Comerica Bank and Bank One in the Colorado market.
Serving the community is one of First Western’s core values, and Eric is committed to contributing to the community where he lives and works. He is a co-founder and leader of Wednesday Morning Velo and an active member of Rocky Mountain Cancer Center Masters Cycling Team.
