Trust Officer | Northern Colorado

As Vice President, Trust Officer for Northern Colorado, Banner is responsible for the management and oversight of all Northern Colorado trust and estate administration.

In her role as a Trust Officer, Banner reviews and interprets trust and estate documents, including trust agreements, wills, federal estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns.  Banner brings a human touch to the role of Corporate Trustee, and in doing so, she is able to develop strong beneficiary relationships. In addition, Banner works closely with wealth management clients and their legal and tax advisors in an effort to develop a comprehensive approach to identify the objectives for the relationship and ultimately meeting the clients' goals.

Prior to joining First Western, Banner spent 13 years as a paralegal for estate planning, trust and estate administration and litigation attorneys.

What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy working with an amazing assortment of people, our clients and my NoCO team. I also enjoy the constant problem solving, there is truly never a dull moment in my position.

How does your involvement with the community fulfill you?
Being a member of the Loveland Library Board has helped me develop a stronger love for my community. I am much more connected to what is happening within my community and am more invested in the success of my community. I have developed great relationships with my involvement on the board. In addition, I have been able to expand my interest in the library from just a love of books to understanding the beneficial impact of a library within a community.

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regis University, Colorado, Summa Cum Laude
