Hank’s responsibilities as a loan originator include evaluating financial situations and recommending mortgage solutions to align with the best interest of borrowers. He sees each loan through its entirety and guides borrowers through the process.
Prior to joining First Western, Hank began his career in the mortgage industry with Century United Mortgage in 1982. Here he was doing legal wrap loans in a market that the 30-year fixed rates were 15-17% with a captured market. Hank notes that the legal wrap environment lasted about three years and then rate started to get better and the Garn-St. Germain Bill took effect on all Conventional loans, and it has been great ride on the roller coaster known as the mortgage business ever since. Hank started with Englewood Mortgage, now First Western Trust, in 1992 with various other opportunities mixed in. He enjoys the great “family” experience he has had with the people. He has been happily married for 36 years.
