Halfway Through the #WealthIsAbout Grants Contest

September 27, 2016

We are so excited about the fantastic support our communities have given First Western Trust’s #WealthIsAbout grants contests so far.

Here are a few stats about our contest to date:

  • We’ve completed the #WealthIsAbout grants contest in 3 of our 6 markets: Denver Metro, Aspen, and Jackson Hole.
  • Between the three contests, more than 60 nonprofits supporting The Arts, Women & Girls, and Economic Development have been nominated to win a grant.
  • Over 8,000 community members voted in the contests.
  • $21,000 in grants have been awarded so far.

We know that wealth is about giving back to the great communities where we live and work, so we are thrilled about having such a great start to our first grants contests. And, we still have three more to go!

On October 5th, you can start nominating your favorite Boulder and Northern Colorado nonprofits, and you can look out for our final grants contest in the greater Phoenix area rolling out in November.

Below, please find a little information about our winners so far.

The Metro Denver contest just wrapped up on September 16th. The winner was the Butterfly Foundation. The organization is dedicated to helping women get back on their feet by addressing their emotional, spiritual, and financial needs.

The Jackson Hole contest winner was the Teton chapter of SheJumps. SheJumps is an organization that is committed to helping women and girls build confidence through outdoor activities.

The Aspen contest winner was the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts. Through its programs, the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts provides the community with a place to create, experience, and live the arts.

Congratulations to this year’s winners, and we look forward to sharing more information about First Western Trust’s #WealthIsAbout contests in our Boulder, Northern Colorado, and Phoenix communities.Member FDIC
