First Western Leading the Community

May 10, 2018

At First Western Trust, being socially responsible is part of who we are. We pride ourselves on the commitment our associates make to investing in our communities through their involvement with a number of nonprofits, donating their time to local organizations by serving on boards and advisory committees.

We would like to congratulate a few of our associates who have recently accepted board positions with local organizations.

Rebecca Cordes Joins Board of Directors with the Colorado Bankers Association

Rebecca Cordes, director of support services, has accepted a board position with Colorado Bankers Association.

The Colorado Bankers Association (CBA) works with the government to continually improve the banking industry in a rapidly changing environment, focusing on increasing benefits for customers and value for shareholders and building a stronger business climate.

Rebecca previously served on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement for 12 years and has previously been involved with the Colorado Commission on Affordable Health Care, the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, the American Institute of Banking, and the Denver Civic Ventures Board.

Gary Lutz Joins Board of Directors with Colorado Public Radio

Gary Lutz, president of product groups and commercial banking, has accepted a board position with Colorado Public Radio.

Colorado Public Radio is committed to producing and curating in-depth and meaningful news and music, establishing thoughtful connections to Colorado for listeners seeking to be informed, enlightened, and entertained. Gary brings his vast leadership and management experience to the organization while also serving on the boards of the Denver Art Museum, ACE Scholarships, and, previously, the CU Leeds School of Business Professional Mentorship Program.

Congratulations to Rebecca and Gary whose leadership is making a difference in the community.
